Getting

INVOLVED

At Dogs That Help, every wagging tail starts with someone who chose to make a difference. Whether you’re passionate about dogs, excited to support your community, or simply want to be part of something meaningful, we’d love to have you on our volunteer team.

No matter your experience or availability, there’s a place for you here.

Help at Fundraisers & Events

Lend a hand at community events, booth days, photos with Santa, adoption fairs, or Dine to Donate nights. Volunteers help with setup, greeting guests, managing activities, and spreading the word about our mission.

Foster a Future Service Dog

Open your home to a puppy in training! Foster families provide love, structure, and a safe place for young dogs while we guide you through everything you need to know. It’s an amazing way to directly impact a future handler’s life.

Become a Trainer for Dogs That Help

Looking to get more involved long-term? Volunteer trainers help work with dogs in our program, support handlers, and assist with specialized training tasks. This is a great option for individuals with dog training experience or those wanting to learn and grow with us.

Host a Fundraiser or Event

Want to support our work in a big way? Host your own fundraiser, like a Facebook fundraiser, donation drive, workplace event, or birthday fundraiser. We’ll give you all the tools and guidance you need to make it a success.

Train a Service Dog (With Our Guidance)

If you have time, consistency, and a passion for teaching, you can help us raise and train a service dog. We’ll support you with the curriculum, resources, and coaching needed to help a dog develop their foundational skills.
